While simple in design and located in a quiet residential neighborhood, the bridge has become a celebrated site for urban photography due to its perfectly symmetrical view of Tokyo Skytree [東京スカイツリー] and the tower’s striking reflection in the calm river below. This mirrored image, known as “Sakasa Skytree” [逆さスカイツリー], transforms an otherwise ordinary scene into something poetic and surreal, drawing both locals and photographers from afar.

The cultural significance of the bridge has grown substantially since the completion of the Skytree in 2012. Inspired by the iconic imagery of “Sakasa Fuji” [逆さ富士], photographers began flocking here to capture Tokyo’s modern symbol reflected on water. Special events, such as holiday-themed light shows or seasonal transitions, add an extra layer of drama as the hues of the tower are doubled in the reflection.
