1. Who we are

LensTokyo operates lenstokyo.com and related APIs. "You" means customers, vendors, or members using the platform. Using the site means you accept these terms, the Vendor Terms (when acting as a vendor), and our policies linked above.

2. Accounts and verification

• You must be 18+ (or have guardian approval) to create an account.
• Keep your contact details, preferences, and payment information accurate.
• We may suspend or remove access if information is missing, false, or outdated.
• Vendors have extra onboarding requirements outlined in the Vendor Terms.

3. Marketplace rules

• Bookings are prepaid in JPY. We hold funds until deliverables are accepted or auto-accepted after seven days.
• Schedule changes and cancellations follow the seven-day cutoff in the booking dashboard.
• Experiences should match the listing. If something is missing or late, let us know so we can review the booking.
• We snapshot booking, pricing, coupon, and tax data for dispute handling.

4. Pricing, coupons, and membership

• Prices are displayed in USD for browsing and converted to JPY at checkout using daily rates.
• Coupons you apply reduce the subtotal price before taxes and fees are calculated.
• Premium plans renew automatically unless cancelled before the next charge. Cancellation keeps access through the paid period.
• Lifetime plans are a one-time payment and remain active while LensTokyo operates the membership service.

5. Information accuracy

We're not responsible if information on our site isn't accurate, complete, or current. Content is provided for general information only and shouldn't be the sole basis for making decisions. Any reliance on our site's material is at your own risk.

We may modify site contents at any time but have no obligation to update information. You're responsible for monitoring changes to our site.

6. Payouts and Stripe

We act as Merchant of Record. Stripe Connect Express processes payments, holds tax data, and releases transfers to vendors after the 14-day payout window. Vendors manage their Stripe details under the Vendor Terms.

7. Premium content

Premium locations, articles, and the interactive map stay locked behind an active subscription, valid cancellation period, lifetime plan, or admin role. We track subscription status and may show previews to encourage upgrades.

8. Activity, messaging, and emails

We log vendor and customer actions (bookings, payouts, coupons, availability) for support, fraud monitoring, and personalized dashboards. We send transactional emails for bookings, schedule changes, verification, payouts, and membership updates.

9. General conditions and acceptable use

• We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. Your non-payment content may travel over various networks unencrypted; credit card information is always encrypted.
• You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the service without our written permission.
• Do not upload unlawful, abusive, or malicious material or comments that violate third-party rights. You're solely responsible for what you post.
• Do not bypass paywalls, scrape private data, interfere with security, spam users, or misrepresent identity.

10. Intellectual property

All materials on our website (text, software, graphics, photos, videos, trademarks, etc.) are owned by or licensed to LensTokyo and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Materials are provided "AS IS" for personal use only and may not be used for other purposes without prior written consent from the respective owners.

11. Comments and submissions

Your comments must not violate third-party rights or contain unlawful, abusive, or malicious content. You're solely responsible for comments you make.

12. Copyright infringement claims

If you spot something that might use your work without permission, contact us and we will review it promptly.

13. Personal information

Your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

14. Errors and inaccuracies

Our site may contain typographical errors or inaccuracies. We reserve the right to correct errors and change information without notice, including after you've submitted an order.

You use our website and services at your own risk. All services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. LensTokyo disclaims all warranties regarding accuracy, content, security, or reliability.

18. Limitation of liability

LensTokyo and its officers, directors, employees, or agents are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages resulting from your use of our website or services, including damages from content, inability to use the service, or service interruption.

19. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless LensTokyo, its officers, subsidiaries, affiliates, and employees from claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from your use of our website/service, violation of these terms, or violation of any third-party rights.

20. Age requirements

This website is intended for adults. Minors (under 18) may only access the website with legal representative approval. You affirm you're either at least 18 years old or have parental consent. In any case, you affirm you're over 13, as the website is not intended for children under 13.

These terms constitute the complete agreement between you and LensTokyo. Japanese law governs these terms, and claims must be submitted to Tokyo courts' jurisdiction.

Please report violations of these terms. LensTokyo retains the right to seek legal remedies for terms violations without posting a bond.
