Tokyu Plaza Ginza
Tokyu Plaza Ginza stands as a modern architectural marvel in the heart of Tokyo's prestigious shopping district, featuring a striking geometric façade and an impressive rooftop garden that offers panoramic views of the Ginza skyline. The mall spans multiple floors of carefully curated retail spaces, combining luxury boutiques with unique Japanese brands and international retailers.

This represents one of Ginza's most renowned intersections, where various roads, rail lines, and expressways gracefully interlace. The perspective from this spot is nothing short of awe-inspiring. By employing long exposure techniques, you can capture the mesmerizing light trails left behind by passing cars, infusing your photograph with a dynamic quality and a sense of motion. The rooftop garden of a shopping mall located on the 11th floor where tripods are allowed and usually the rooftop is deserted making taking pictures very easy.

The building's crown jewel is its restaurant floor, showcasing a diverse selection of dining options from traditional Japanese cuisine to contemporary international fare. Notable highlights include the popular conveyor belt sushi restaurant Nemuro Hanamaru and an atmospheric Greek restaurant offering spectacular city views. The rooftop garden transforms into a sophisticated evening venue with comfortable seating areas and seasonal illuminations.
On the south side of this shopping mall is an escalator that directly connects the outside to the second floor. What makes this escalator so photogenic is the white reflections of the lights on it’s glass. It makes the space look so futuristic and other-worldly. It is definitely a photogenic spot worth visiting if you are near Ginza.

Enclosed within a transparent tube, the escalator descends gracefully toward the ground floor. Within this glass enclosure, mirrored surfaces create a mesmerizing display, reflecting and amplifying the fluorescent lights that run along its framework—an Instagrammer's delight. While it's feasible to capture a photo during the daytime, we highly recommend visiting this spot at night. The spectacle truly comes alive after dark when the lighting is activated; without the nighttime illumination, the scene doesn't attain its full epic grandeur.
While the mall's innovative design creates an engaging shopping environment, visitors should note the unique circulation system that requires some navigation between floors. The facility is fully wheelchair accessible with dedicated elevators and offers comprehensive duty-free shopping services. The basement level connects directly to Ginza Station, making it a convenient starting point for exploring the broader Ginza district.
